Guideline 4D Compact Body - Shooting Head

Guideline 4D Compact are short, powerful and well-balanced rears developed to work perfectly with Guidelines 4D Compact Tips.

The 4D Compact concept offers a complete range of tails and tips, covering fishing with one-handed, switch and two-handed rods, in addition to the heaviest line weights. 4D Compact back parts are available in two different densities; fully floating as well as Float/Sink 3. They have a powerful taper and are super easy to cast both Scandi and Skagit style. The lines are between 5.0 and 5.4 meters in length and vary slightly by model, making them perfect for use with rods that are 14' and shorter. When matched with one of the recommended tips and a leader of the right length, they handle both small and large flies very well, cast far and are very accurate.

For optimal performance, use them as recommended with our dual density 4D Compact Tips, which are available in 10' / 7 grams and 12' / 7 and 9 grams weights. 4D Compact Bodies are available in eight different weights, and are built on Guidelines' dumb and strong 30lbs Direct Contact™ core that only has 6% longitudinal stretch. All ropes are equipped with color-coded loops in the front. They also have ID markings on the back for easy identification. They are equipped with the industry's strongest and most reliable small, coated loops. The ropes are produced from environmentally friendly materials and have a durable polyurethane coating with low friction.

TLT (Triple Layer Technology) & Direct Contact™ Core
The fly lines of the future are here and consist of a revolutionary and complex multi-denisity technology with three different hardnesses in the coating. Coating with varying properties is added to the different parts of the line for less memory, better casting characteristics, better contact with the fish and increased wear resistance. TLT allows us to produce lines that flow well and release water much more efficiently than before. The tapering is built on our Direct Contact™ multifilament core with only 6% stretch.
